Visit the Zoo at 9:00 am

Enjoy the pleasures of sauntering around this urban zoo located within 3 miles of downtown. With a special section on Africa and a Children’s Zoo along with an exhibit called Giants of the Savanna, this zoo is perfect for group vacationers. Admission fee for adults is $15 and it is $12 for children. The zoo is open from 9 am to 5 pm.

Check out Dallas Heritage Village at 10:00 am 

This awesome 13 acre museum showcases historical marvels and has stunning architecture. Located just south of Downtown, it has exhibits showing what North Texas was like in the early 19th century. It even has a Civil War era farm theme. While adults can gain admission for a fee of $9, charge for admitting children is $5. This heritage village is open from 10 in the morning to 4 in the evening from  Tuesdays to Saturdays. On Sunday, it opens at 12:00 in the noon.

Enjoy Modern Art at 11:00 am

Visit the Nasher Sculpture Center for its stunning exhibits and collections from Serra and Miro to De Kooning and the famous Rodin. This is one sculpture garden you would not want to miss.  While admission for children is free, adults are charged around $10. This museum opens at 11 sharp and closed at 5 in the evening from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

Savor Nature and Science Together at 12:00 pm

Located in the Arts District, this awesome museum opened its doors to the public in the year 2012. With a building designed by a famous architect and interactive exhibits whereby visitors can design their own virtual experiences, this museum even has a 3D theater. Its charges for adults is around $15 and it is $10 for children. Opening hours are from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening 6 days of the week and from noon to 6 pm on Sundays.

Dallas has a quiet and spiritual side as well and it comes out in the Thanks-Giving Square created by the Thanks-Giving Foundation. This area serves as a spiritual healing place for those who want to tap into feeling of thankfulness. This center is the epitome of tranquility and it contains a Wall of Praise, a garden for meditation and a chapel for thanksgiving.  This square is open from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening from Mondays to Fridays and from 10 am onwards on weekends.

Find out More About An American President at 3:00 pm 

Visit the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum on the SMU campus for an educational and enriching experience. This museum even has a Decision Points Theater where you get to see how the president made decisions for major events such as Iraq war. Located near the Mockingbird station, it is the perfect place to spend an afternoon. Adults are admitted for $16 while children can enter the museum in $10. Opening hours are from 9 in the morning to 5 at dusk on Mondays to Saturdays and noon onwards on Sunday.

Delve into Africa at 4:00 pm

The Dallas African American Museum showcases the rich culture and heritage of African American persons from Africa during precolonial times and it has one of the best collections of folk arts.  Admission is free but $5 is charged for tours. Museum is open 11 am to 5 pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays and 1 to 5 pm on weekends

If you want to see the biggest bronze museum on earth, Pioneer Plaza is the place to be for viewing the collection of 40 bronze cattle on a drive.

Bank of America Plaza is one of the largest and tallest buildings in Texas built in a modern design.

This is an indoor cum outdoor garden. It also has a herb garden, a butterfly garden and a fragrant garden. If you are fond of flora and flowers, this is the place to be. There is even a tropical conservatory inside. Children are allowed for a fee of $4 while adults are charged double that amount for entry into the butterfly garden. While the outdoor garden is always open, the indoor gardens close at 5 pm so plan the trip earlier if you want to view the latter as well.
